My art is a collection of positive, beautiful experiences, from past to present, ultimately connecting my vision through life’s experiences.  Finding beauty and inner peace in my playground, my studio, with Oil Painting, Cold Wax, Acrylics, Watercolors, Inks, Graphite, and Charcoal, combining Collage and Texture.  This experience has given me a newfound love of people, animals, urban landscapes, beautiful scenery, and the beauty of life through my eyes.

At its core, my work is about becoming. Honoring the courage to evolve, live fully, and to embrace a life that feels true.

ARTIST BIO

Tina Hobbs is a Conroe, Texas-based mixed-media oil artist known for her luminous, layered surfaces that explore light, movement, and the beauty found within life's experiences.  Born in Ohio and raised in Texas from her teenage years, her connection to art began early through drawing with ink, graphite, pastels, and colored pencil. She always loved abstract doodling and drawing in realism. Alongside her passion for art, she enjoyed storytelling and poetry, and around 1999 studied English and Creative Writing at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. After devoting years to her career of 17 years as an office manager with Lifetouch National School Studios and raising her family, she returned to her creative practice in 2020. What began as a rediscovery quickly evolved into a deeply personal, healing, and transformative journey.
Working through a layered, intuitive process, Tina combines charcoal, fluid inks, watercolor, collage, texture, and oil. Each piece develops over time, revealing and obscuring much like memory, and resulting in rich surfaces that carry both depth and emotion.  Alongside her oil and mixed media paintings, she also creates watercolor and ink works that offer a more immediate, fluid interpretation of her subjects.
Her paintings reflect the moments that shape us, quiet, meaningful experiences that leave a lasting emotional imprint. Inspired by people, animals, sunrises and sunsets, nature, and the atmosphere of everyday life, she translates those impressions into work that is felt as much as it is seen, and each piece has a beautiful story to tell.
Through continued study with the Conroe Art League and the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program, Tina has refined her technical skills while remaining rooted in an expressive, instinct-driven approach. In recent years, she has expanded her practice through plein air and live painting experiences with her local art community.
Her practice continues to evolve as a reflection of a life fully felt, capturing light, emotion, and the quiet beauty woven into everyday moments. Her work can be viewed in person through rotating monthly exhibitions at The Madeley Fine Art Gallery in Conroe, Texas, with upcoming opportunities in additional galleries.
